The Importance of Being Earnest Presented by On The Fringe Visual and Performing Arts
August 2 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Importance of Being Earnest
A farcical comedy exploring the tangled affairs of two young men about town who lead double lives to evade unwanted social obligations.
This play, celebrated for its wit and repartee, parodies contemporary dramatic norms, gently satirises late Victorian manners, and introduces – in addition to the two pairs of young lovers – the formidable Lady Bracknell, the fussy governess Miss Prism and the benign and scholarly Canon Chasuble.
July 19, 26, and Aug 2 at 2pm will be our Sensory Matinees for our friends who prefer fewer and more muted sound and lighting effects.
Masking will be enforced inside the theatre in order to protect immunocomprimised cast and/or crew.
